The Analytics panel tracks component usage, design patterns, and file statistics. Use it to understand how your design system is being used and identify opportunities for optimization.
Opening Analytics
- Available in Developer tier panels (enable in Preferences)
- Access from sidebar panels menu
- Requires scan of current document
Component Analytics
Usage Statistics
- Instance Count - How many times each component is used
- Override Rate - Percentage of instances with overrides
- Detach Rate - How often instances are detached
Component Health
- Identify rarely-used components
- Find components with high override rates
- Detect detached instances that should be reconnected
Design Metrics
Color Usage
- All colors used in the document
- Frequency of each color
- Colors not from defined styles
- Near-duplicate colors to consolidate
Typography
- Font families in use
- Text styles applied
- Orphan text (not using styles)
- Font size distribution
Spacing
- Common spacing values
- Inconsistent gaps
- Padding patterns
File Statistics
- Element Count - Total elements in file
- Layer Depth - Deepest nesting level
- File Size - Document size breakdown
