The GIF Frame Selector appears in the Properties Panel when you select an animated GIF image element. It lets you scrub through frames and choose which one to display in editor mode.
How It Works
Animated GIFs display as static images in editor mode. The GIF Frame Selector lets you control which frame is shown:
- Select an animated GIF element on the canvas
- In the Properties panel, find the "Animated GIF" section
- Use the slider to scrub through frames visually
- Use arrow buttons to step forward/backward for precise selection
- The selected frame renders on canvas in real-time
Frame Information
The selector displays:
- Current Frame - Which frame number is being displayed
- Total Frames - Total number of frames in the GIF
- Frame Duration - How long the current frame displays during animation
Visibility
The GIF Frame Selector automatically shows and hides based on the selected element:
- Visible - When an animated GIF image is selected
- Hidden - When a static image, or any non-image element is selected
Tip: In Prototype Preview mode, animated GIFs play automatically with all frames. The frame selector only affects which frame is shown in the editor.
