Create regular polygons (triangles, pentagons, hexagons, etc.) and star shapes with customizable points and inner radius.
Drawing Polygons
- Select the Polygon tool from the toolbar
- Click and drag to create the shape
- Hold
Shiftto maintain equal proportions - Release to complete
Polygon Properties
- Sides - Number of sides (3 = triangle, 5 = pentagon, 6 = hexagon, etc.)
- Rotation - Angle of the shape in degrees
- Corner Radius - Round the corners for softer shapes
Drawing Stars
- Select the Star tool from the toolbar
- Click and drag to create the star
- Configure points and inner radius in Properties
Star Properties
- Points - Number of star points (5 = classic star)
- Inner Radius - Distance from center to inner corners (as % of outer radius)
- Rotation - Angle of the star
- Corner Radius - Round the star points
Common Shapes
- Triangle - 3-sided polygon
- Pentagon - 5-sided polygon
- Hexagon - 6-sided polygon (great for honeycomb patterns)
- Octagon - 8-sided polygon (stop sign shape)
- 5-Point Star - Classic star shape
- 6-Point Star - Star of David shape
Tips
- Adjust inner radius to 50% for classic star proportions
- Lower inner radius creates sharper, pointier stars
- Higher inner radius creates rounder, badge-like shapes
- Combine corner radius with low inner radius for unique decorative shapes
- Convert to path for custom point editing
