Whiteboard Enhancements

Sticky Note Auto-Shrink Text

Sticky note text now automatically shrinks to fit the available space. The font size scales down using a binary search algorithm with a minimum of 8px, ensuring all your content remains visible. No more truncated text or ellipsis — everything you type is displayed in full.

Sticky Note Stacking

Select two or more sticky notes, right-click, and choose "Stack Stickies" to create a fanned pile with slight rotation offsets. This is a great way to visually group related notes together. The operation is fully undo-safe — press Cmd+Z to restore the original positions.

Section Child Containment

Sections now act as parent containers. When you move a section, all elements inside it move along with it. This makes it easy to organize and relocate groups of related content on your whiteboard without losing spatial relationships.

Section Collapse/Expand

Sections support a "Collapsed" toggle in the properties panel. When collapsed, the section displays a compact title bar and hides all child elements. This helps reduce visual clutter on busy boards. Note that you cannot reparent elements into a collapsed section — expand it first.

Connector Label Position

A slider ranging from 0.0 to 1.0 lets you position a text label anywhere along a connector's path. The slider appears in the properties panel when the connector's label is non-empty. A value of 0.0 places the label at the start, 0.5 at the midpoint, and 1.0 at the end.

Connector 12-Point Snap

Each element edge now offers 3 snap points at 25%, 50%, and 75% positions, giving you 12 total snap points per element. This provides much finer control over where connectors attach, resulting in cleaner diagrams.

Orphaned Connector Cleanup

When you delete an element that has connectors attached, those connectors are automatically removed as well. This prevents orphaned connectors from cluttering your board. The cleanup is fully integrated with undo/redo — restoring the element also restores its connectors.

Link Preview Metadata

Link elements automatically fetch og:title and og:description metadata from the target URL, displaying a rich preview on the board. Double-click a link element to open the URL in your default browser.

Text Inside Shapes

Double-click any rectangle, circle, polygon, or star to enter text editing mode. Text is rendered centered within the shape, making it easy to create labeled diagrams and flowcharts without separate text elements.

Tip

All enhancements work with undo/redo and are fully backward-compatible with existing files.
