Layers Panel

Understanding the layers tree, nesting, and parent-child relationships.

Find layers by name and filter by element type (Rectangle, Text, etc.).

Hide layers from view and lock them to prevent accidental edits.

Name your layers descriptively - "Header Background" is better than "Rectangle 1"
Use Cmd/Ctrl + ] to bring forward, Cmd/Ctrl + [ to send backward
Use Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + ] to bring to front, Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + [ to send to back
Lock layers you don't want to accidentally move with Cmd/Ctrl + L
Type filter chips only appear when you have 3+ elements with 2+ different types
Layer thumbnails are cached for performance (up to 200 layers)
Use Cmd/Ctrl + F to quickly focus the search bar in the Layers panel
